The A.P. Public Service Commission came in to existence on 1st November, 1956 with the formation of the State of Andhra Pradesh. Before this, there was Andhra Public Service Commission in the Andhra State and Hyderabad Public Service Commission in the Hyderabad State. Andhra Service Commission came in to existence only in 1953 after the bifurcation of composite Madras State into Andhra and Madras States.

Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India established or Incorporated by or under a Central Act, State Act or a Provincial Act or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or an equivalent qualification.
How to Apply:
Candidates must register themselves with One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on www.psc.ap.gov.in. Candidates can apply online for from 31.12.2016 to 30.01.2017. Applicant must pay Rs. 250/- towards application processing fee and Rs 120/- towards Examination Fee. SC, ST, BC, PH & Ex-Service Men, Families having Household Supply White Card (Residents of Andhra Pradesh) & Un-employed youth in the age group of 18 to 42 years are exempted from payment of examination fee Rs. 120/- only.
Selection will be made through Screening test in Off- Line mode in case applicants exceed 25,000 in number and likely to be held on 18/06/2017 FN.The main examination in On-Line mode for candidates selected in screening test will be held through computer based test on 21/09/2017 FN & AN and 22/09/2017 FN.
